Thanksgiving 2009

What fun! Thanksgiving 2009 was hosted by Lori and Laci and they put up quite a feast! The rest of us lounged and watched a ton of football. For her first Thanksgiving M wanted nothing to do with food (I'm sure that will change next year!). She was too busy hanging out with some of her favorite people. She had on her new Thanksgiving outfit and was dressed to impress.

appetisers
olives, cheese, crackers and wine
caramelized onion and Parmesan cheese tart

first course:
butternut squash and duck confit soup

second course:
beef wellington
mashed potatoes
pickled carrots
pickled beets
fried Brussels sprouts
cheese souffle

dessert:
meyer lemon pie (provided by rosie)
pumpkin tart
caramelized apple and pecan tartlets
marscapone and ginger sugar tartlets

An embarrassment of riches. It was such a marvelous day!
