4th of July and Wedding Anniversary
The 4th of July weekend was just too much fun. On Friday we went to Matthew's co-worker, Mel's, house. She has a pool and two lovely little girls. We had a BBQ with several other folks from Matthew's office and had a blast. Of course, half way there, we realized we forgot the camera...it's a consistent theme with us. But one of Matt's coworkers, Rick, took a picture of the two girls and Margaret and sent it to us. The day was relaxing and too fun! The next day we blew up the baby pool and had our own little pool party in the back yard. Later in the afternoon Aunt Lori came over to look after Margaret while Matthew and I went to Melting Pot to celebrate our 8 year anniversary. We ate too much and Matthew was interrupted a few times with work, but it was still a lovely dinner and our first time to eat without the baby since she was born. Thanks so much Aunt Lori!! For our anniversary Matthew got me the most romantic gift I think he could have given me...new washer and dryer. I'm not kidding...I love love love love love it!!! That night we stayed home to make sure our house didn't burn to the ground (it's illegal to shoot off fireworks in LA, but apparently no one really cares about that - it felt like a war zone with the amount of fireworks going off...and since we live on the side of the hills...it was worth staying home). Luckily for us, even amongst the mayhem, Margaret only woke up once and quickly returned to sleep. whew! We spent the majority of Sunday at the park lounging around while Matthew played ultimate frisbee. Fun for all!! Here a few pictures of the weekend.
