The Clark Family Reunion 2010!

The Clark Clan headed to Texas this February for the annual Clark Family Reunion. Since we didn't get to see the Watts' during Christmas, we took a Jet Blue flight into Austin. It was so wonderful to see Kathy, Allan, Nina, Perry and Faron. This year we also got to meet Perry's girlfriend, Shannon (what a cute couple they make) and Nina's soon-to-be step daughter, Jasmine. Yup, you read right, Nina's getting married to Jeremy in late May! So excited!!! Our visit in Austin is always way too short, but we did get to breathe in the fresh winter air and eat some incredible BBQ accompanied with Kathy's super yum fixin's.

The next morning we went to visit with Matthew's grandmother, Margaret. Her new room is much smaller but still lovely. We're so happy she likes living there. Like last year we got pictures of the three Margaret's together. What a lovely visit. We printed up pictures as we were taking them (Margy brought her portable picture printer).

Then we quickly headed over to Houston to begin the Clark reunion festivities. Friday night everyone came for dinner. We had Texas tamales and Margy's beefy chili. It was so great to see how much the little babies have grown into toddlers. Last year there were two toddlers (Isaac 4 and Jason 3) and three babies (Margaret 2 months, Audrey 3 month and Avery 5 months). This year we had one little boy, Isaac, and four toddlers, Jason 4, Margaret 14 months, Audrey 15 months and Avery 17 months. NEXT year, we'll have two little boys, three toddlers and two new babies! Sarah and Ashley are due this spring! It's a baby bonanza! Or course Margaret and Isaac are best friends forever. The two of them played together the entire time and Margaret, who has only said two names, mine and Aunt Lori's, said Isaac. She continues to say Isaac all the time at home. You think she likes him? He cracks her up! I've never heard her continually giggle like she giggles at him. It's too precious for words!

The next day we started the day off with kolaches (how I miss you kolaches - no Polish food out here in California). We grazed on h'ordeurves throughout the day. Margy, Lynn, Sarah and I went to the Chocolate Company for some girl time and left the kiddos with the boys. That night we dined on roasted chicken, cheese grits and ceasar salad. Man, can't get any more southern than that! On Sunday morning we had Margy's breakfast caserole and took our family picture. This year we and the Fernandezlopez's were included in the picture! Hooray! Below are pictures from our always too short visit. So great seeing everyone after a year's time. Can't wait to see what we'll do next year!
