Been Far Too Long...
It's been far too long since I've updated the site and too much has happened but I'll try! Here goes...
We had our first beach day! It was cool at first and overcast but it warmed up and our little lady had a ball! Quite a different day at the beach since last we went when she was 9 months old! Here's a picture of our lady playing in the sand.
In professional news, two of my friends and I opened a cloth diaper store. We've been working really hard but of course have yet to make a penny. We're learning a lot and are having a great time spreading the word of cloth! Here's a picture of our sign.
Matthew and I celebrated our 9 year wedding anniversary. We got to spend the whole night together because my sisters were looking after Margaret. We went to a restaurant we'd wanted to go since we moved to the East side called The Raymond. We dined on a salmon amuse buse, then scallops and pork belly appetisers, followed by duck and roasted chicken...forgot what we had for dessert but it was magnificent.
For July 4th, our friends Lisa and Carl (parents to one of Margaret's besties, Juliet) invited us to the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood. Carl works there and occasionally on holiday weekends has to stay there. We were privileged enough to party in the penthouse (along with our other friends Jen, Ray and the girls other bestie, Bella). We swam in the pool, ran around the balcony, ate great food and fantasized about all the shenanigans that went on in that room. We got to stay in the penthouse because Tim Burton (who reserved it) didn't show up! The Chateau is famous for all the famous people who come to the hotel and end up staying...sometimes for years. We have plenty of video from that day, but no pictures.
Margy (aka, Lala) came for a visit and we got to go to our usual haunts and had a blast! On this trip we bought a bed and Margaret had ice cream for the first time. Her visits are always too short and we can't wait until she comes back. Here's a picture of Margaret and I at Kidspace.

Next was Matthew's birthday. Margaret picked out a shirt and a wallet for his presents. I made pork chops, roasted fingerling potatoes and bean bundles for dinner. I messed up the pie I made him (forgot the eggs) but I had cookies as a back-up. On the weekend we went to Gus's BBQ!
Next! My parents big annual trip! Too much happened in this trip! We, of course, went to the usual fun places. We went to the beach, saw Margaret's picture at Target, tiled the bathroom floor, Lori and Laci's apartment got broken into, they put in some security measures on their porch, we ate a TON of food and took a TON of pictures. It was epic and even though it's a long trip, it always goes by too fast. Here's just a small taste of the visit...
And now we're up to date! Albeit abbreviated but that means we'll have more to talk about when I see you!!
